Hi ho hi ho, it's back to work I go.

After four glorious weeks as a full-time writer, I've beat my deadline, paid my dues at eight different South Minneapolis coffee shops, and owe Pandora a small fortune for their services. And now, it's back to the day job. Tomorrow morning. Like, ten hours from now. Not that I'm counting.

I don't know how people do it. I don't know how I do it. After four weeks of focusing on only my writing, my kids, my house, and my husband (and perhaps a little bit of crap TV), I'm absolutely overwhelmed by the idea of writing in the evening hours after everyone's gone to bed.

Somehow, this is exactly what I've done for the past six years. Um, go me, I guess? So please keep your fingers crossed that I can get back in the rhythm and look at writing as that magical Me Time in the evening that it's always been until now. A divide between worker-bee-me, mom-me, and sleeping-me. And please, send me virtual chocolates tomorrow. I will need them. But I don't like the kind with cheery goop. Just in case you were wondering.

Later,
E.

Lucky for you, it is Cadbury Creme Egg season. I send you many virtual Cadbury Creme Eggs and all my good wishes for your continued sanity. You did it before and you can do it again.

Hope it went well!
Erin, I'm happy that you had a month to write - I hope you got many staries onto the paper. I hope the first day back went well, too.

Getting Your Groove Back
You have to find your groove! Because if you can maintain a writing career using your evening "me time" then maybe I really can, too. So, on behalf of the working mamas trying to break into the industry, I offer you the following:

You can do it! Go, Erin, Go!
